MANILA, Philippines — A youth representative challenged presidential aspirants to bare their plans for education and the youth.
Kabataan party-list Representative Raymond Palatino said even if the campaign period has yet to start, a number of politicians have already declared their intention to run for president.
“But beyond motherhood statements and grand promises, we want to them to actively inform the youth of their plans, especially their programs for youth concerns – education, employment, youth participation, and good governance,” Palatino said in a statement.
“We do not want another administration that neglects the importance of the youth sector, and one that denies them of their most basic rights. We want our next president to uphold the interests of the youth, especially those who cannot afford the high costs of education,” he said.
